Rain king Bolt beats Powell in athletics season farewell
SportsBRUSSELS, Belgium (AFP): Triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt won the 100m at the Golden League meet here on Friday, beating compatriot Asafa Powell in a time of 9.77sec to bring the curtain down on his record-shattering season. The Jamaican flyer's winning time was well outside his world record of 9.69sec.
Bolt not thinking about 400 metres record just yet
SportsBRUSSELS, Belgium (Reuters): Jamaica's triple Olympic sprint champion and Usain Bolt said on Friday he was not yet thinking about running the 400 metres or trying to break Michael Johnson's nine year-old world record in the event. "I am not thinking about that (400 metres) for now," Bolt told reporters.
Jamaica gets disaster relief help from USAID

Jamalco bauxite workers end strike in Jamaica
NewsKINGSTON, Jamaica (Reuters): A group of bauxite workers returned to work at a plant in Jamaica on Wednesday after a strike started on Friday to protest the suspension of a colleague. The group of about 200 workers walked off their jobs at the Jamalco plant in the south-central parish of Clarendon last Friday.
